Hi stampers!
Today I want to share my first card ever
with copic markers.
It´s easy to go wild and crazy with these markers
as they are so fun to play with!
I have never coloured Tilda in such crazy combo
before...I`m not sure I really like it.
It´s really differnt from my beloved Distress reinkers!
I haven´t got many copics yet and it was pretty
hard to choose which ones to pick, so I have
to learn to colour with the ones I got before
I get myself any more!
(This is a promise I probably will break
before the week is over I am afraid...;o) )
The most difficult part is to get the skintone right...
I have watched so many tutorails at youtube
and read so many tip that I mixed the
colours altogether...
Perhaps it depends on my inkpad to.
I haven´t got any black yet so I play along with
a brown distress ink pad, walnut stain.
When my memento tuxedo black arrives-
(keep my fingres crossed it will be tomorrow!!!)
I belive it will turn out much better.
The second difficult thing is that the colour
keep bleeding outside the lines...
That´s why I had to cover it up with a lot of
dots in the background.
Copic colours:
Skin: E00, E11, E21, E51, R20
Hair: E11, E29
Crown: RV000, RV10, RV95
Throusers: Y11; YG41, YG63
Socks and jumper: B00, B12, B23, B95
What are your favouritecombo for
skintones?
Bye bye from Lillemor!
Hi Lillemor,
SvaraRaderaLovely bright colours. With me it is the other way round, I would love to be able to colour with distress inks but every time I try I am not quite happy!
With Copics I use E0000, E000,E00, E11 and R20
Hugs
Yvonne
Practice, Practice! Those two mediums are so very different, I know! Anyways, you mentioned the bleeding, what paper did you get to use with the copics? Personally I like the Cryogen and Papertrey Ink. If the paper is very fiberous or "toothy" you will get more bleeeding too. Hope that helps! I use E000, E00, E11 and R20 for my skin tones.

OMG, this is really beautiful. I totally love this card. Great papers and colors are awesome. And this image is colored in to perfection.
SvaraRaderaHi Lillemor,
SvaraRaderaGreat! For the skintones i use E00, E11 and RV20. When you watch youtube Suzanne J Dean and our Nicole Verkooijen from Holland, they are great with the copics.
Good luck!
Hugs
Thea
Du är lika galet duktig på det här som allt annat!!! Har du inga gränser människa!? ;)
SvaraRaderaOtroligt fint kort! Läckert med prickarna runt Tilda. Kanonsnyggt som alltid!
Härliga färger och papper också. Ett kort man blir glad av! :)
ha det bra,
kram från Hanna :)
Well I think you did a great job..colours are lovely.I still struggle...I'm too heavy handed...Think I may have to stick with pencils..but I practice a lot with copics..I just dont post them.
SvaraRaderaLuv CHRISSYxx
Hi Lillemor! fun to see you coloring with copics! I color my lightest color E000 all over the face first...then bring in E00 with light brush strokes from the edge, in a way...then hit that E00 edge with the E000 again, just lightly brushing the E000 into the E00..then I like E21, just a bit of it brushed in from the sides, then brush that edge with E00, then I usually go over the center lightly with E000 again... the trick is a very light hand with a light brushing stroke. I use a diluted R20 for the cheeks...brush in the teeniest bit and then kinda tap around the edges of the R20 with E00... hope that gives you something different to try...
SvaraRaderaKeep a light, light coloring stroke to keep the bleeding away! : )) It is addicting! lol

Because i like *distress* colouring with copics to get a more harsh effect between outlines and the inside of the face, i use E13, E11, E00 and R21/R22 for cheeks. You really should take a look at the tutorials from suzanne djean Copic colouring distress (typ this in on youtube) she has ceveral video's wich are just great!! you can take a look at my blog to see how the combo turns out!
SvaraRaderaLoving the fresh colours and gorgeous dotty background! Gorgeous card! The copics I use for skin are E000, E00, E21, E11 and E13 with E93 for blush on cheeks. hugs, Jane x
SvaraRaderaI can't believe this is your first go at copics it's beautiful, you've chosen great colours and I love the dotty background too. I love working with copics and I'm only just starting to practice with the inks.
SvaraRaderaI use the same colours as Jane for the skin except I use R20 & R00 for cheeks.
Have fun! Teresa xx
Stor klem, Camilla
Hi there! I think you did a great job on your first try with the copics. My first try wasn't so pretty as this ;-) But... you really have to learn to use them, so don't give up if you really want it, it's so fun and you still keep a distress queen!
SvaraRaderaMy fav skin combo is E11, 21, 00, 000 and R21, 20. I color from dark to light. Good luck!
Hugs Ing
Hello! I had a time getting used to my copics from distress inks (my first love). It takes alot of practice that's for sure. The bleeding may be the paper you use. Copic Xpress, Papertrey Ink and Cryogen and some of my favorites. You can "fix" your bleeding with a colorless blender. My favorite skin is E000, E000, E11, R11. Still I think he is adorable with the colors you have!
Kram
Great to learn something more about you. My city - Stargard Szczecinski is located about 100 km from Świnoujście (Swinouchie). Many people from different countries helped Poland. We all remember with gratitude. Now the Poles help :) I have very good friends and colleagues in The Netherlands, Some of them also helped the orphanages in Strargard.
SvaraRaderaYou really saw my cards in Boras? Super!
Your works are wonderful, I admire them and marvel for a long time!
